Truly Great Appassionata
Like the young Wilhelm Backhaus, Pollini should rightly be regarded as the world's greatest pianist virtuoso.
Phenomenal!
I have been playing this to death, especially in my car.
Towards a new complete cycle of Beethoven sonatas with Maurizio Pollini
If Maurizio Pollini would seriously take into consideration recording a traversal of all 32 Beethoven Piano Sonatas - now when he is in his sixties and enjoys a worldwide reputation as unmatched piano virtuoso - his approach could well be regarded as a landmark to Beethovenian interpretation for ages and as a truly legacy from the Italian maestro.
Beethoven piano sonatas
Anyone who loves music would enjoy this CD and the transaction worked well.
Simply the best 'Apassionata'
Until I listen this CD I always thought that Arhur Rubinstein had made the best apassionata's recording.
Appassionatly Pollini
Easy listening renditions of such intense romantic music just don't work, and fortunately, Pollini's performances are far from that!
"That's heavy metal!"
Yesterday I told to my friend: listen to this!
Fantastic performances, sublime works
Pollini, as opposed to many other great pianists, never recorded the 32 Beethoven sonatas as a "grand project".
Superb modern Beethoven playing
Pollini is quite uncompromising in these recordings, and that alone will put some listeners off.

I am very glad this disc has been so well received.
