I'm definitely an outlier, a man rating a slip bought for a woman. Forgive me. My wife is disabled, in a wheelchair. I buy most of her clothes these days.
My wife, who is 5'11", has a couple of 31" long Velrose half-slips. We decided to try the full slip. My wife likes skirts that just break over the knees. There are technical reasons for this having to do with her disability, but also it's the fashion she has always preferred. Most slips are so short (26") that they barely come down over her butt when sitting (all day, in a wheelchair). This slip is meant to be 31" from the waist, which is about perfect for the skirts she likes. The full slip doesn't come as far down as Velrose's half-slips, which are also 31".
The material is very soft and drapey. The lace is soft, not scratchy. The lace at the hem helps keep the slip from riding up. The lace on the bodice I think makes the slip look very feminine. Most slips are almost completely unadorned, which is boring. This one is pretty.
Very chesty women might want the slip to be a size or two bigger than their waist. It almost didn't fit my wife.
The slip we bought was black. Sure wish it also came in beige like the Velrose half-slips, instead of white. Or even maybe some other colors...
